Outdoor/ocean learning environment

We incorporate multiple Field trips throughout the year — Wetlands, Tide Pools, Historical Locations, etc.

Professional Photography, Videography (including Drone and In-Water Footage), and Social Media Features

Transportation to the classroom is included for those who attend our Morning Surf & Science Academy beforehand. Students will hop on our 15 passenger Mercedes Sprinter Van and head over to take their classes.

Small Surf Class Sizes — 4:1 student to instructor ratio

Small LSC Learning Center Class Sizes — classes cap off at 15-20 students consisting of one primary teacher and floating teachers assistants as needed.

School year Surf & Science Academy — students will learn about seasonal changes in weather, tides, and surf conditions

30-week LSC Learning Center school year — Academic subjects and Enrichment Courses will all be taught our beautifully renovated LSC Learning Center Campus centrally located in Downtown Huntington Beach.

Students will get into break-out groups on core academic days to focus on level specific content

Uniforms are required for our LSC Learning Center — Nautical Themed/Hawaiian Shirts acceptable

Students will be participating in an Entrepreneurship Fair in the Fall and the Makers Fair in the Spring

We host two Surf Competitions during the year (one in the Fall and one in the Spring) that Surf & Science Academy students can participate in at no additional cost
